Who wouldn't be a little worried, right? Well, this has been happening very randomly since January. The first time I called her doctor's office in January they said to just give her Benadryl. That made the rashes go away, and everything was fine. It happened a couple times after, which was why I started wondering if she had Fifth Disease, since I heard someone had it in our ward. The doctors really didn't think it would have lasted as long as it had, so they just dropped it. This was at the end of February. Now the rashes are back, and I just wanted to get some proof of how bad her rashes get, so I have been taking pictures. I don't know what she has, but it seems to come around when she's sick, and it is also heat-related. This last picture was after she had been holding the computer on her lap (see post about bird feeders) for a while. The other pictures are after a nap. Benadryl gets rid of it still, but this is just weird.

What is that?!!
Imagine your daughter has just woke up from her nap. She comes to you, gives you a hug, and you notice a couple red dots on her cheek. Then upon examination you find this...

Oh man! That rash doesn't look good. Well, what rash does? I can't believe the doctors are just brushing it off. Does it hurt her? Or itch? She is soo cute. I hope you find out what it is and get rid of it for good!
Those pictures make me hurt! That's terrible. Don't know if it's even close, but Kynzee got Roseola once... and it sorta looked like that. Good luck!
Wow, I can't believe that rash. Poor girl. I hope you can figure it out.
I had that same rash, and I went to a specialist and had a complete blood work done, they still don't know what it is. I feel for her, poor little girl! My mom thinks I had the 5ths, it was going around Bear Lake, too.
I'm so sorry. It looks horrible. Same thing wondering if it itches or burns. I would be taking her somewhere else. I hope you can figure it out. The bird feeders looked fun.
that looks terrible! i hope she's feeling okay...how bizarre! hopefully they figure out what the problem is...
That really is a bad rash. Good thing it goes away with Benadryl! Does it itch? Poor thing!
Hi Chemene! I found you through Jen's new blog. Your daughter is adorable (I hope you find out what is causing the rashes, by the way). Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Hey, I'm in Wisconsin too and a friend of mine had that randomly happen a few times last summer. They ended up being advised to take low strength antihistamines every day (like over the counter Zyrtec) . . . and docs thought it was some allergy, but if you ever figure out what it really is, I'd love to know.
Oh, poor Jaycee! I hope you can figure out what that is, what a mystery! It has been a while since I've commented (I'm always behind in the blogging world it seems). Eliza laughs hysterically every time she watches Jaycee in the tub! So funny! Looks like you had a great time with your families for spring break. I wish spring break was just a week longer!
So you probably don't know me but I am one of Byrd or Joanna Ostlers good friends from Utah. I don't want to weird you out by posting, but my daughter is 18 months and has had the exact same thing twice! Both times she was a little sick and they were worse after she woke up. I have heard that it could just be a reaction to a virus that they've had. Good luck if you find a source let me know! haha
