Good ol' Wisconsin!

Well, we really love being in Wisconsin, and we have tried to explore new foods (I am not very exploratory when it comes to food). One food item we have tried is a bratwurst. They are actually very good. The picture above is a model of how Lance eats his brat. He starts with mashed up avocado (and possibly some mayo), then diced tomatoes. Those are covered with tons of mustard and ketchup and finally the brat. It was funny watching him eat it because it was so big. I am more of a ketchup and mustard girl myself. I actually just started liking mustard in the 24th year of my life, so it will be quite a while before I dare try Lance's version.

> Another thing about Wisconsin worth blogging about is the current cold spell we are experiencing. It's cold, but not unbearable when there's no wind present. I have tried to stay inside as much as possible anyway. The thing that's unbearable is the cold that seeps through the windows constantly. It's freezing. Jaycee decided that she wasn't going to freeze during the night, so she layered on three different pairs of pajamas. That's how you survive. She obviously didn't get cold in the night.

Here is a picture of the damages from Jaycee's haircutting experience. Like I said, we lucked out. She just barely started getting hair on the sides anyway, but cutting off what little she had didn't help it any.

That's a great picture of Lance stuffing the brat in his mouth! And doesn't every little girl decide to cut her own hair-at least once? I think I was too shy to do something as risky as hair, but I do remember sneaking scissors and cutting holes in my Michael Jackson pajamas... Jaycee is such a cutie!

I'm glad you're liking the Midwest. We are too. That brat actually looks really good! Silly Jaycee. I cut my hair too, though and it looked a lot worse than that.

i totally know what you mean about the cold seeping through the windows. i swear i'm feeling mega drafts all the time. i think cold is seeping up from our basement, too. brrrrr. i love jaycee's layers of pajamas. i guess she was sick of freezing with zero pajamas on??

Hey, I had a brat in Switzerland, and it was really good! I just recently realized that I like mustard... well, a little any way, too. So, how far along are you now? When do you find out what you're having? Do you have name ideas? I hope it gets warmer for you!

My pregnancy is going well. I'm not as anxious this time, so the time is going faster. I think probably because 1. I already have a baby and 2. I've already done the whole labor thing. It's kinda nice to not really be counting the weeks, and just let the time pass. Do you feel more that way this time? I guess I was still counting weeks when I wasn't feeling well. I just wanted it to stop and kept thinking, "It will stop at 12 wks, and when it didn't 14...etc." After I felt better I stopped counting as much though.
