Thank Heaven for family!
My parents decided to come visit during the dreaded test week/widow week. We've been through one test week already, and this was the end of the second block (Oct. 14-18). They figured we could spend time together while Lance had to study every waking moment, and when he was done we could party. It was very good reasoning, and I was so grateful they came. We had a great time. We went to the Jelly Belly factory, Sprecher's Brewery (we forgot to find out when tours were, so we were too early), and Green Bay to visit my grandma and aunt. You can't go to Green Bay without going to Lambeau stadium, so we went there as well. We tried to sneak in and go see the field with the tour groups, but they're pretty efficient about checking wristbands. We thought it was free anyway, but come to find out, tours are $11/person. No thanks! We also went to the Betty Brinn children's museum and to our ward trunk-or-treat. Jaycee had so much fun seeing here Grandma and Grandpa Dixon again. I told Jaycee it was bedtime the first night they were here, and she pointed her finger at me and said, "Grandma and Grandpa can't leave." We miss them, but are very grateful for the time we got to share.

Hi Chemene- I just stumbled across your blog today. What a cute little girl you have! I love to read kid stories, because it seems like I can always totally relate. How are you doing so far from home? I always thought I wouldn't mind moving far away, but it's a little harder when you want your kids to know their grandparents. That's fun that your parents came to visit!
I am so excited I found your blog! How fun to have your mom and dad come visit. I know they are missing Jaycee terribly. We miss seeing you.
